I asked one of my dear Armenian friends whether Yulia Tymoshenko's maiden name was common in Armenia and here's his reply:

Grigyan is not an Armenian name that I heard before, which probably means it is not (but who knows - I get surprised at my own countrymen more often than I want to!!)
