I am so happy that you got away to Istanbul. Last spring, about this time, there was a lale/tulip festival in the city. It was at times breathtakingly beautiful. I hope you will experience something similar in a city that is constantly there to be rediscovered.
Vilhelm, we were in Istanbul for the tulips last year - loved it. Right now, however, Gülhane is getting its post-winter clean-up, so it's not too good for walking, unfortunately. But the rest of the city is as great as ever.
