Ah, the joys of blogging.

First, I'm blasted for being a Russophobic sovok, then some idiot calls my photo of a woman fishing in the Bosphorus "Jewish crap," and before that, in a personal email, I get admonished for making fun of a Jewish last name (a misunderstanding I'll write about later), and one day before that, I'm accused of cheating in both the Eurovision 2007 and Ukraine's 2004 presidential votes.

All that within a week or so.

It's your blog, you can just delete stupid comments.

  4. Lots of silliness on the 'net. But I suppose that's the price of an open marketplace of ideas. Some of them will be a bit crazy, but the majority will figure it out. I thoroughly enjoy your writing and photography, Neeka. Keep on posting! Todd in US

  6. Do not sweat the nonsense and the haters. I sort of think it gives them too much credit to delete them, but if their presence on your blog bothers you, just delete them - your blog is your castle. I too have been shocked in recent months by some of the hostility and bad faith that's out there, but it is not worth thinking too much about, other than to marvel at the range of human behavior. Shake it off and move on, pitying the haters - all they have is hate, whereas you have things to translate, posts to write, and photos to post.
