And - yet another drunk sleeping at our playground on a Sunday morning. This one was scary - I didn't find the guts to take a picture of his face. It was horrible. And then so many people sit on the bench he slept on. And sometimes there are kids of some unsuspecting parents playing here. I do pity him, of course, but, to be honest, I'm a lot more nervous about all the germs that he carries.

  1. it seems like you chose another object for your "photo protests". First it was parking places in Kyiv and now - drunk people on the playgrounds ;)

  2. I'm wondering what would happen if you call some cops.

nothing can be done about this besarabka backyard - i know, i've lived here all my life.

the only way to make things better is to move away.

  4. oh, the cops are all around.

sometimes they do drag a bum away, but normally they prefer to ignore them.

  6. That's interesting that in Kyiv it is very rare to see people (drunk and homeless) sleeping in the streets and in metro stations passways. They are all hidden in these sort of playgrounds and yards, while in Budapest I remember there were plenty of homeless people sleeping right in the street so that you'd be careful not to hit them when walking. There are also plenty of them in Montreal (what was big shock for me from the first days and still now...how's that possible that in such developed country as Canada, which is in top 10 in terms of everything in the various world rankings?)
