The 3% threshold makes a lot of sense. Turkey has it at 10% and this caused only 2 parties to get into parliament, and the Islamists who got only 32% of the vote, now hold 66% of the seats in parliament.
I think the reasonable rules are that you can always stand in a public spot and photograph what you can see. Now a tent erected on a public spot with a permit, can be argued to be private. There is nothing stopping you from photographing from outside.
I wonder what she is going to do when 6 mega pixel digital cameras with 1 GB of memory become $25 each. Everybody will have a camera in their pockets. How is she going to protest? heh heh
We are watching (you) too.
ReplyDeleteI dont read Ukrainian.

THIS IS REALLY IDIOTIC
ReplyDeletePora is getting 2% of the vote, and less than threshold.
If this 2% had gone to Yush, it would have made a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
This is IDIOTIC (to vote for Pora). It can never get 3%. Pora should have declared in favor of Yush (or Yulia).
Talking of "cutting your own nose to spite your face". Welcome to lunacy.

Looks like Kostenko & Pliushch are NOT going to make 3%.
ReplyDeleteThis is even more reason why they did not put their vote in favor of Yush?
Now half their votes will be given to Yanu for free.
The top 4 (UNB, Pora, Renaissence, Viche) who do NOT get into parliament have 7% of the vote.
It should have been given to Yush or Yul. WHAT A MISTAKE.

Wow - Yush is leading in Luhansk !!
ReplyDeleteYanu seems to be weaker than expected ?!?!?!?!

What is this in Ukrainian? This is dated 6:54 am, but for some reason it shows Yanu at 34% ??? But the official stat at this time shows 21%.

I will save the page. nona
nona-- the title at the top of the page indicates (if I read correctly) that those are the votes tallied from voters outside the country.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a shame that Pora didn't make it past 3%, but the way to fix that is with more votes for them, not less. :-)
nona, the real idiotism is to vote for the idiots. like yanukovych or ahmadinejad or bush jr.
