Yushchenko has won the first round!!! (The Central Election Commission finally announced it around 4 pm Kyiv time.)

Yushchenko 11,125,395 votes (39.87%)

vs.

Yanukovych 10,969,579 votes (39.32%)

The difference is 155,816 votes (0.55%)...

This is so wonderful - and I'm sure he'll do much better in the second round!
