Had a lovely date with Kyiv. For much of the past three weeks, it was a demented city, and I'm glad that it has managed to pull itself together for me on my last full day here this fall. Thank you, Kyiv. I love you, in spite of all the shit.
This is also Lypky/Lipki: those flowers (no idea what they're called in English or in Ukrainian, kolokolchiki in Russian) have been there forever - definitely for the past 30 years and perhaps even longer...
That first picture is on Shovkovychna Street just before it intersects with Luternanska Street. It's my old neighbourhood.
